In the Mediterranean forest of S'argamassa, just a few meters from the crystal-clear waters of Cala Pada, a story of entrepreneurial vision, family tradition, and hotel excellence was born—one that has spanned five decades.
In the 1970s, Antonio Torres Juan, a member of a pioneering family in Ibiza's tourism sector, recognized the potential of this unique location. Between 1973 and 1975, he brought his vision to life by building the S'argamassa Tourist Apartments, a complex that quickly became a benchmark for British tourism in collaboration with the tour operator Thomson.
For more than two decades, the complex established itself as a trusted destination, generating a loyal customer base that returned year after year, creating generational bonds within the establishment. This loyalty became the business's greatest asset and testimony to the quality of service offered.
In 2000, Illa Plana Real Estate S.L. by Lucas Prats, owner of the luxury Agrotourism Can Lluc, acquired the complex with an ambitious vision: to elevate the value proposition toward the luxury segment while maintaining the Mediterranean authenticity that characterized the establishment.
The comprehensive renovation was directed by architect José Torres Torres, who respected the original structure of ground floor and three levels while completely modernizing the facilities.
Thus S'Argamassa Palace was born, a four-star apart-hotel with 25 rooms equipped with bedroom, living room, full bathroom and kitchenette. This configuration proved ideal for families and couples seeking comfort and privacy without giving up quality hotel services.
Since 2007 and under the direction of Juan Antonio Prieto Costa, specialist in high-level tourism management, S'Argamassa Palace culminates its transformation, establishing itself as Santa Eulalia's reference boutique hotel.
Today, S'Argamassa Palace represents more than a hotel: it is the living testimony of Ibiza tourism's evolution, an example of sustainable growth that honors its roots while embracing innovation, offering its guests an authentic Mediterranean luxury experience.
Since our beginnings, we have been a family that welcomes other families.
At S'argamassa Palace, hospitality is not just our job, it is our heritage. For five decades, we have cultivated something that goes beyond hotel service: we have created genuine bonds with our guests.
What began as family management in the 1970s has become our hallmark. Those first families who trusted us not only returned year after year, but passed that trust on to the next generations.
Today, we welcome with the same warmth the children and grandchildren of those first guests, keeping alive the spirit of closeness and professionalism that has always characterized us.
